Embraer (BM&F Bovespa: EMBR3 / NYSE: ERJ) (short for "Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica, S. A." English: Brazilian Aeronautics Company, Inc.), is a Brazilian aerospace conglomerate that produces commercial, military, and executive aircraft and provides aeronautical services. Headquartered in São José dos Campos, Embraer is, alongside Canadian rival Bombardier, the sometimes third-largest commercial aircraft company in the world (behind Boeing and Airbus) and was for much of the 2000s one of Brazil's top exporters.
