DESTINATION - ALASKA!

SEA KAYAKING
Ever imagine paddling a sea kayak among the immense Alaskan glaciers? Navigate Alaskan waters as bald eagles soar overhead and sea otters, sea lions, and an occasional mountain goat or coyote roam the icy landscape. Enjoy the breathtaking sights of giant waterfalls cascading down granite cliffs as you kayak through this arctic destination.

WHITEWATER RAFTING
Paddle your way through Class III waters or try the more intense Class IV or Class V waters on an exciting Alaskan whitewater rafting trip. Cut through canyons and around boulders in an adrenaline-filled adventure of a lifetime. Accompanying guides will help lead you the way.

GLACIER TREKKING & ICE CLIMBING
Explore glacial crevasses, pools, colossal ice formations, and hidden lakes on an Alaskan glacier trekking trip. Choose a beginner-level trip and travel easily on relatively flat to rolling glacial terrain. Think this trek is too easy? Choose an intermediate trip where you will journey to a more uneven and steep terrain. Trekking poles and crampons are provided. Rather climb the glacial ice? Test your strength and scale vertical ice walls with provided climbing gear and experienced guides.

DAY HIKING
Lace up your boots and explore the vast Alaskan wilderness on a day hiking trip. Hike the Harding Icefield Trail, the only real trail in Kenai Fjords National Park. Beginning on the valley floor, the Harding Icefield trail weaves through cottonwood and alder forests, passes though heather-filled meadows, and ultimately climbs above the tree line to a stunning view of the 800-square-mile Icefield. Take in views of massive snow-capped mountains and towering spruce as you make your way to the top of the trail. Day hikes begin at base camps and only a small daypack is necessary for the hike.

ALASKA DANCE THEATRE
The Alaska Dance Theatre (ADT) is Alaska's premier nonprofit dance organization in Alaska. Its mission is to advance dance through performance, professional education, and advocacy in Alaska and to allow for a place within the dance community for local and visiting artists to increase their talent while nurturing discipline, confidence, fitness and the experience of movement. The dance company has collaborated with other organizations such as the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra, the Anchorage Concert Chorus and the Anchorage Opera for their performances.  Past performances have included the "Nutcracker," "Hansel & Gretel," and many other original pieces.

ROMANTIC GETAWAY
The vast terrain of Alaska gives way to a variety of romantic trip ideas.  Peaceful nature hikes, bear watching, moose gazing, and whale watching could be the perfect idea for you and your special someone. Visit Kodiak Island, a perfect place for a romantic getaway. Catch the dazzling lights of the Aurora Borealis, the phenomenon of an interaction between the Earth's magnetic field and solar wind that causes  ribbons of green, yellow, orange, and dark red light to form in the sky, most often occurring from September to October and from March to April.

DAY CRUISES
If you are the mariner type you will love Alaska. Day cruises on the ocean are a great opportunity to sit back, hold hands, and seep in the natural beauty that Alaska presents. These day tours run out of numerous spots along the coast as well as the interior of the state. The Chena and Tanana rivers offer steamboat tours while the coastal areas run larger cruiseship-type voyages.

Not all couples find quiet dinner romantic. To some couples a long day of fishing—saltwater, freshwater, or ice fishing, the perfect aphrodisiac. If this is the case, then Alaska is your place. There are many charters that will take you out deep sea fishing, but there are also many spots along the road that you can pull over and cast a line or two. There are more than six hundred species of fish in the Alaskan waters. There are over three million lakes and three thousand rivers as well. Each part of the state has a different spin on fishing, so do your researches before you pack your poles and head out for a fishing adventure.
